Don't get stuck at the border. RTSLink.sg will be the first live dashboard showing real-time crowd levels at the Woodlands North RTS station.
*We will only email you once when the beta is live.
RTSLink.sg is a dedicated utility tool designed to help commuters check real-time crowd conditions at the Singapore (Woodlands North) RTS station. We utilize live data estimates to help you plan your border crossing efficiently.
The RTS Link is scheduled to commence passenger service by the end of 2026. Construction is currently ongoing and on schedule on both the Singapore and Malaysia sides.
The train ride itself takes approximately 6 minutes between Woodlands North and Bukit Chagar stations, crossing the Straits of Johor via a dedicated 25-meter high bridge.
Service will run daily from 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM (midnight). Trains will arrive every 3.6 minutes during peak hours and every 6 minutes during off-peak times.
Yes. Even though the journey is short, you are crossing an international border. You must possess a valid passport (with at least 6 months validity) or the relevant travel documents to clear immigration.
The RTS Link features a co-located CIQ (Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine) system. This means you clear both Singapore and Malaysia immigration at your point of departure.
For example, if you are departing from Woodlands North, you will clear Singapore exit and Malaysia entry before boarding the train. Upon arrival in Johor Bahru, you simply walk off—no further checks required.
Under current bilateral agreements between Singapore and Malaysia, the KTM Shuttle Tebrau is expected to cease operations six months after the RTS Link begins passenger service. The RTS Link is intended to replace the shuttle as the primary rail connection.
The station is located underground at 1 Woodlands North Coast Road. It is directly connected to the Woodlands North MRT station (TE1) on the Thomson-East Coast Line via an underground concourse.
The Johor Bahru terminus is located at Bukit Chagar, situated right next to JB Sentral. It will be connected to the existing CIQ complex and the future Iskandar Rapid Transit system.
At Woodlands North: Parking is extremely limited. Commuters are strongly advised to use public transport (MRT/Bus).
At Bukit Chagar: There will be a dedicated multi-storey Park 'n Ride facility with significantly more parking capacity for commuters driving from within Johor.
